Manicured poo-bums
Fall apart when it's rough out
And the wind, mercifully unrelenting. 

There are so many of us who have grown brittle due to dependencies on our drugs.    

The smoothest way to sail is blindly,
Each day responding, "I don't know," when
They ask what's on the menu... 

Each day, tapping the bare skin of your wrist
To show them you have no watch.

Each time saying, "I can't read Japanese,"
When the instruction manual is being
Waved about like a crucified jesus. 

Once a child learns something
They are ready to learn again
And their enthusiasm is currency doing
Well against the dollar. 

I'm the kind of person that's popular at house parties
Because I like to learn about what you do and to me
There's always an aspect of it that's interesting.

I am not particularly interested in living for a long time
But it does become more apparent over the years
That the curious age best.
